WowScape in-game Rules and Regulations

---PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY AND MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THEM---

These are the rules that the WoWScape Staff and Community expect you to respect, and follow whenever you play on a WowScape server. Failure to follow the rules may result in punishment including being banned from WowScape's servers and excluded from our Community. This is a living document, rules and regulations are updated and changed as required, please check the rules on a regular basis.

Not knowing the rules or failure to read the rules does not excuse you from any punishment if you break any of them. WoWScape Staff Reserve the Right to Temporarily Or Permanently Ban Anyone in Violation of any of WowScape's rules.

General

* Respect the Staff, your fellow players. This is a game, everyone plays here to have fun, please try to make WowScape a fun experience for all members of our Community
* Cheating to gain an unfair advantage by using third party programs, exploiting client or game mechanics or exploiting database or other bugs is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated.
* If you find a bug that gives players an unfair advantage, please immediately report the issue to WowScape Staff so that it can be fixed.
Threatening WowScape, the Server, Forums, Staff or Players is a Bannable Offence. We don't take this lightly.
* Harassing WowScape Staff or other Players is not tolerated.
* Donors Help keep WoWScape and its servers operational. Verbal Harassment/Flaming of these people is inappropriate if it be the Forums or in-game. We will not tolerate this as these people deserve the same respect as any other player. If you don't like donor gear that we have on the WoWScape server, then move to one of our Bliz-like servers with no special donator gear.
* WowScape Staff will never ask for your in-game account details, including your password, do not give these out to anyone for any reason.
* You are responsible for all actions taken on your account, do not lend or give your account or account details to anyone else.
* WowScape game-accounts may not be traded, swapped, exchanged or sold for any reason.
* WowScape accepts no responsibility for any account or login details that have been given to other people, including accounts that are traded, sold, shared with friends or guild mates or any accounts in which details are shared or made public either intentionally or accidentally.

In-game Chat and Conduct

It is forbidden to do ANY of the following on ANY Public Chat or Say Channel in-game:

* Using swear words or other inappropriate language, remember we have young players on here too.
* Racial and sexual abuse, slurs and inappropriate comments are strictly forbidden.
* Spamming (undesired, unsolicited bulk messages, repeating the same word or sentence many times to get attention or to interfere with normal operations)
* Flaming (messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting)
* Using CAPS, do not type all in capitals (does not include proper composition or valid acronym use eg: SSC, BT, BWL are allowed)
* Changing the color or your text so that it appears different to other players (this includes linkable tags)
* Faking <GM> tag (or other tags not suitable for players)
* Asking or beging GMs for free stuff.
* Asking or begging other players for free stuff - do NOT beg anyone for gold.
* Asking/demanding/bugging for help or support from GM's in Public Chat channels GMs is NOT allowed (use the ticket system or ask in the /Support channel).
* Using any language other than English (Make your own channel for your language)
* Talking about or sharing any type of cheat or exploit.
* Spamming or continuous discussions about cheaters, take a Screen Shot and report them.
* Settling disputes in Public Chat Channels.
* General inappropriate religious, racial, nonsense, inappropriate humor, spam or garbage conversations which the entire server does not have interest in and should not need to hear.

Penalties for breaking these rules include being Muted, Kicked, Suspended or Banned from WowScape's servers, subject to reasonable GM discretion.

Game Play
The following are ALL forbidden on our servers:

* Exploiting bugs or cheating of any kind to gain an unfair advantage in the game.
* Using third-party programs that give you an unreasonable advantage over other players
* All Character names must comply with WowScape's Character Name Policy (click for full details)
* Guild names that do not comply with the same Character Name Policy
* Guild names that suggest a connection with the Staff at any level (particularly GM)
* Any cheat, method or way to attempt to increase or bug your or your pet's damage.
* Any cheat, method or way to attempt to increase or bug your or your pet's Hit, Mana Points or other stats.
* Attacking players or own faction NPCs not intended to be attackable
* Exploiting game mechanics to make mobs not attack you
* Learning or Using any spells which are not intended for your class (mage using priest spells, for example).
* Learning or Using any spells which are not intended for your race (Starshards on an Undead priest spells, for example).
* Equipping items in slots where they are not supposed to be equipped
* Using any Quest or Special Items in ways they are not intended (eg. using quest items against players)
* Making yourself unattackable when you should be
* Using tricks, glitches or exploits to get throw or any other attacks to run many times simultaneously when they should not
* Using macros to spam the effects of spells, attacks, items, etc.
* Abusing cooldowns on abilities, skills and pet skills
* Exploiting to get more than 61 talent points
* Abusing NPC/boss follow distance and/or getting NPCs to attack each other when they should not
* Attacking other players while you are mounted.
* Trying to get into places in which you don't belong (eg. GM Island) or cannot get to via legitimate ways.
* Using any Spell or Skill while Mounted that is Not intended to be used While mounted in order to give yourself an unfair advantage.
* Riding flying mounts outside of the Outlands.
* Asking GMs to change your character's model or appearance.

Because WowScape has an Emulated server, sometimes spells, skills, items or abilities become bugged and allow players to have an unfair advantage. Where possible we attempt to fix the problem, disable the spell, item or ability or remove it from the game, however this is not always possible.
Using any bugged, broken or exploited item, spell or skill to gain an unfair advantage in the game is NOT allowed.

Penalties for breaking these rules include being Kicked, Suspended or Banned from WowScape's servers, subject to reasonable GM discretion.

PvP and Events

* WowScape's servers are PvP Servers.
* On a PvP server, if you can attack it, it's fair game, any level, anywhere. There are no rules against attacking towns, low level players, corpse camping or any other PvP related activities. There are many ways to avoid PvP, if you don't like it learn some of these methods.
* Donation gear can be used anywhere except in events when specified by GMs (YES IT CAN BE USED IN BGs!).
* Do not complain about being killed by someone (If they break a rule, screenshot it, report them!)
* Do not complain that someone killed you in a Duel with a certain ability, ask them BEFORE the fight not to use it. You can always ask for another duel.
* PVP situations are not Life & Death situations. Be friendly and respectful to all other players, do not get carried away.
* Events are designed to be fun. Do not complain when you lose.
* If a person is constantly annoying you, kindly ask them to stop, if they continue, leave the area, or use the IGNORE LIST.
* If a person is following, killing, camping or annoying you, ask your guild for help, leave the area or just log out for a while.

Players who think they may have been banned unfairly may post a Ban Appeal, using the correct format and in the Correct Forum for the server they were banned on.
